Food Not Bombs
Food Not Bombs: Striving for Hospitality and Justice
Saint Andrew’s is excited to support Food Not Bombs, a global, all-volunteer movement that shares free, nourishing meals as a direct response to hunger, poverty, and war. Every Wednesday, friends of the parish and those interested in getting involved will gather at Trinity Commons Student Center to prepare food for distribution at Brother Bryan Park.
Food Not Bombs recovers surplus food—fresh produce, bread, and other ingredients that would otherwise go to waste—and transforms it into healthy, vegetarian meals shared freely with anyone in need. The movement, which has been active for 45 years in cities around the world, operates on the belief that access to food is a fundamental human right.
By joining this effort, we stand in solidarity with those facing food insecurity in our own city, creating a space where hospitality, justice, and community come together. If you’d like to lend a hand—whether through cooking, distributing, or simply sharing a meal—please join us on Wednesdays at Trinity Commons.
