Nico will be discussing their groundbreaking new book, American Teenager: How Trans Kids Are Surviving Hate and Finding Joy in a Turbulent Era.
In this vivid and moving portrait, Nico captures the daily triumphs and struggles of transgender and nonbinary teens across the country. Drawing from hundreds of hours of interviews, the book amplifies the voices of trans youth and their families, providing an honest and hopeful look at what it means to grow up trans in America today.

Nico Lang is a nonbinary journalist whose work has been featured in Rolling Stone, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and more. They have received numerous accolades, including a GLAAD Media Award, 10 National Association of LGBTQ Journalists (NLGJA) awards, and the inaugural Visibility Award from the Transgender Legal Defense and Education Fund.
