Habitat for Humanity Building
Saint Stephen’s Episcopal Church has invited Saint Andrew’s, along with episcopal churches throughout Birmingham, to join them in a Habitat for Humanity build this spring. The build will take place from March 13 to May 3, with several weekends available for volunteers.
Participating in this effort is a wonderful way to honor her legacy while working alongside other area churches to make a meaningful difference in our community. This build is dedicated to the memory of a beloved Saint Stephen’s parishioner whose generous bequest is making this project possible.
Each parish is encouraged to select a weekend and recruit volunteers to fill the needed slots. A “weekend” includes Thursday through Sunday, and Habitat requests a minimum of 10 volunteers (and a maximum of 25) per day. Tasks will be planned based on the number of participants, so providing an accurate headcount a couple of weeks in advance is essential.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information, please contact Fr. Peter Helman at rector@standrewsbham.org. Let’s join in this opportunity to serve!
